I always loved them and when we were in Paris, we happened on a bistro/resto (?) in St. Paul where they showed Laurel/Hardy films (no sound) on the wall. It was so charming and one of our early dinners in Paris, discovering on our own -- a spot no one recommended, just one that looked good.

Your B&B, the mansion, everything looked just wonderful!Jeaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17482528482559445943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8796960161183320830.post-67426045744527316422015-05-28T19:13:32.937-04:002015-05-28T19:13:32.937-04:00I enjoyed this post a great deal. We couldn't find an RV Park that had big enough spaces for our fifth-wheel and so we stayed way way out of town in the country. Then when we unhooked and drove into town we couldn't find anything! (Of course this was back before GPS). Anyway, there were Too many Peachtrees Streets, too much traffic. My husband is usually really good with maps, but this City was impossible.

So I definitely enjoyed the tour. (Maybe we should try Atlanta again, with our smaller rig -- or even hotel it some day... sigh. So many beautiful places, so little time!)Sallie (FullTime-Life)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15442598857394838271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8796960161183320830.post-82368680900672175912015-05-26T13:30:10.945-04:002015-05-26T13:30:10.945-04:00As always your collages capture the spirit of what...As always your collages capture the spirit of whatever interesting subject you choose! I enjoyed all the photos of old white homes with porches and varying degrees of gingerbread. Interesting that in other parts of the country people paint them in multi-colors, often very bright, but your examples all seem to be white or occasionally pastel.

best... mae at maefood.blogspot.comMae Travelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13328946930935633113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8796960161183320830.post-38190912842444375832015-05-23T11:30:32.056-04:002015-05-23T11:30:32.056-04:00Hi Vagabonde ... well Madison has lots to offer .....Hi Vagabonde ... well Madison has lots to offer .. and yes I could be encouraged to visit. Even on long trips I'll jump off the Interstates to check out a bit of the countryside just for a break from the monotony. Thanks for all the information on Madison GA! It's now on my list of places to visit although I don't know what's left for me to blog about... Your's was so complete. Love the Jones-Turnell-Manley House and the Courthouse. My wife will thank you for the Brady Inn! I can't imagine all of the history that was destroyed in Georgia during Sherman's march to the sea...but at least this town was spared.
