Here are the lyrics of an Italian song called "Nella Fantasia." It is in the original Italian and I translated it afterward:
Nella Fantasia
Nella fantasia io vedo un mondo giusto,
Lì tutti vivono in pace e in onestà.
Pien' d'umanità in fondo all'anima.
Pien' d'umanità in fondo all'anima.
Nella fantasia io vedo un mondo giusto,
Lì tutti vivono in pace e in onestà.
Pien' d'umanità in fondo all'anima.
Pien' d'umanità in fondo all'anima.

In my Fantasy
In my fantasy I see a just world,
Where everyone lives in peace and honesty.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.
In my fantasy I see a bright world,
Where even the night is not so dark.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like clouds that fly.
In my fantasy exists a warm wind,
That breathes into the city, like a friend.
I dream of souls that are always free,
Like clouds that fly,
Full of humanity in the depths of the soul.

A beautiful poem/song, a lovely rendition, evocative pictures. Thanks, Vagabonde. You moved me.
Beautiful posting as usual. The poem reminds me of John Lennon's Imagine.
Blogging break, hmm, does this mean you're currently on the road and on vacation? If so, I am looking forward to knowing where you have gone to!

I have a chill running down my spine while listening to Nella Fantasia. OMG, Vagabonde. It makes me want to speak Italian the rest of my life...along with French and Dutch and German...and English, too, of course. Grazie for this intermission into my day!
Great art and poetry! Inspiring! Food for the mind and soul.
These lyrics are my prayer for those in Egypt right now. What a beautiful piece. As always, your illustrations are so perfect.
